Baruntse Climb

Baruntse, a 7129m peak in the Himalayas, is a rewarding climb for any party who have already had some experience with the challenges of high-altitude mountaineering. Mount Baruntse is located on the border between Tibet and Nepal. This peak lies between Everest and Makalu and is generally considered to be a relatively straightforward ascent of a 7000m mountain. However, it still requires accurate acclimatization and clear weather in order to summit successfully. The standard route ascends from the East Col via the Southeast Ridge.

The SummitClimb team has been practicing skills on Baruntse since 1991, and we welcome you to join us on our expedition to this beautiful mountain. Mount Everest, Ama Dablam, Manaslu, Lobuche, Island Peak, Mera Peak and Lhotse are some of the other peaks located in Nepal. In all mentioned peaks, SummitClimb offers climbing in affordable price.

Baruntse is the perfect summit for the mountaineer who is looking to add a peak over 7,000 meters to their bucket list. Baruntse is not as enigmatic to climb as Everest, but it still provides a worthy challenge. In fact, climbing Baruntse is often used as a training ground for those preparing to climb the Mount Everest.

Our expeditions are led by highly-experienced guides with many years of Himalayan climbing experience and an intimate knowledge of the area. We only use top-quality equipment, and we take great care to ensure that our climbers feel safe and supported throughout their journey. Our goal is to help you reach your mountain climbing goals, whether this is your first mountain summit or your fifteenth. SummitClimb team will check your climbing equipment before we head towards the climb. We make sure whether you have proper mountain climbing shoes and clothes.
